I look forward to supporting the provisions this OMMP Interim Legislative Committee drafts. I’d like to propose that the patient suggestions below, be intertwined with what we draft, to further assure this great program continues to be a patient friendly program.

Please consider these patient suggestions:

The #1 Patient Recommendation is to establish an “OMMA Registration Manual”:
Manual would include information to help cardholders and their gardens. Including how to’s, do’s and don’ts. This education manual could eliminate the misconceptions and untruths that currently plague OMMA.
Develop a support system to aide cardholders with establishing and growing their medicine thru the state Extension Office.

Establish a Caregiver Certification”:
Could be a 2 page statement they sign with the application packet, or as much as a class which is certified.

Transportation concerns need to have:
(Add (+) Possession of medical marijuana in public, within allowed amounts, does not constitute use.


An EXAMPLE, of the information cardholders need to have included in the OMMA Registration Manual” is attached.
